Hello,

This is a serious problem for me!

I have exported the template settings for the Astroid-template-zero from a development site
(see attachment: GOED astroid-zero-template 2020-5-22 22 18 2.json.txt).

In the final site I imported this JSON file.
It is automaticly saved.
The website displays fine;

After pressing the save button again without editing something, the website layout is completely destroyed.

The website is:

joomla39.loopgroepbedum.nl

Regards,
Peter

Hello,

I found a Work-a-round:

I already discovered that when you: Save, Close, again: Template Option, Save

then the original layout is restored.

I do not have an explanation for this behaviour yet.

Peter

Hi,

When you first imported the settings and saw it save automatically & everything looked fine on frontend was because of the cache, the second time you clicked on Save was the actual settings saving process and when that was loaded on frontend it disturbed the site layout.

After import/export there are slight chances that the layout might get disturbed at times or maybe not. As per the link you shared the site looks fine, so I guess your workaround worked and problem is solved now.

Most of the times its the cache issue that causes the difference, try changing any of the settings in the Astroid backend that will also work.

Thanks,
Nishtha

Thank you for your reply.

However my work-a-round has to be used every time. After making a minor modification, I have to save, close, reopen and save again.
This is reproducible.
In my development site onde 'save' was sufficnet to see the result.
Clear cache does not help.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Well you don't have to do that everytime, its not just the Astroid cache its might be or can be the browser or site cache as well. If this was the case we would have more users pointing towards the same problem.

Astroid cache works fine, clear your browser cache to check the results.

Thanks,
Nishtha
