TOPIC: Blank front-end page after JD Boston installation

Blank front-end page after JD Boston installation 6 months 1 week ago #20854

Having a similar problem. Except everything was working until I updated the Framework today to 2.3. All worked fine until I changed the logo and now All pages frontend are blank.

Error in the logs is: mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Recoverable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in /var/www/vhosts/stage.topprfirm.co.uk/httpdocs/templates/jd_boston_astroid/frontend/typography.php

Can you try switching to a lower PHP version on the living website?

Or try enabling error reporting and debug to see what the error is online?

Thanks,
Chetan

Here you go again: it's a template/framework mismatch.

Hi Chetan,

Thank you for this, if you are aware of the issue and it has been going on for some time, why not just update your template to resolve the problem.

Marc

Hi Marc,
It's simpler said than done, we are working on a major release for astroid and plan to update all our templates to that release (hence the delay), we are going to get around to it in the next few upcoming weeks.
Thanks for your patience.

It is weird.
I disable some plugin that can make php error.
Now i got these error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in .../libraries/astroid/framework/library/scssphp/src/Parser.php on line 875
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in .../libraries/src/Session/Session.php on line 386
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in .../libraries/joomla/database/driver.php on line 1907
Warning: Unknown: Cannot call session save handler in a recursive manner in Unknown on line 0

When i switched back to php 7.1, the end of the first line changed to .../libraries/astroid/framework/library/scssphp/src/Node/Number.php on line 94

Now the error lines changed again:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in .../public_html/libraries/astroid/framework/library/scssphp/src/Compiler.php on line 2173

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in .../public_html/libraries/vendor/joomla/registry/src/Registry.php on line 89

I disable all compression plugin. For exmaple toomanyfiles and jch_optimize.

I had to uninstall the jd bostion and the astroid framework everytime when want set back the old template, because the astroid framwork cause error in that too.

Hi,

This is really just some server side config or limits error. Make sure you have enough numbers set on the basic PHP limits (i.e. memory_limit or max_execution_time) and this should be resolved.

Thanks,
Chetan

Hi Chehtan,
I setted both of them, and worked fine until i switched the language to english. There is seven lanuage on my page, and i made seven sablon to them.
Every language works fine, only the english doesn't.
I got this error:
Warning
: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
.../public_html/libraries/astroid/framework/template.php
on line

Hi,

Make sure the correct layout/template is select for english. The error seems to be pointing at a missing layout from the Astroid layout manager.

Thanks,
Chetan

It is working fine now, but i find some redirection issue. The .Eu redirect to .eu/en.
Can the multiple template cause this issue?
