Good evening all -
I downloaded and installed JD Builder. Seems very intuitive - great looking program.
Downloaded Astroid - again - looks good.
Now - how do I go about creating a page that shows? I understand all the mechanicals - adding elements, layouts, etc.
But, how do I show it? I set the menu item of the page that I am creating to the zero template of astroid. But, where do I go from there?
In other words, I am looking for a step by step instruction on how to use JD Builder. I have checked the documentation - and I am not seeing anything.
Thanks!

Hi Reuel,

Thanks for trying out JD Builder and like you have already mentioned that's how you go about using the page builder there's nothing complex working with it. Install JD Builder > Create your page > Assign that page to a menu item > And your page will be displayed!
The same has been mentioned in our documentations as well: docs.joomdev.com/article/creating-a-page-with-jd-builder/

Let us know if there's anything specific that you are missing or not able to see.

Thanks,
Nishtha

Thanks for the reply.
But it is not working.
I have started on a new install. Joomla 3.9.13. Base template. Everything is new.
Installed JD Builder and tried creating a page.
Live preview will not work.
When I save the page and go to it in the front end, I see the protostart template, and some elements from the page I created in JD Builder. It looks terrible.
Obviously the template settings are not being overridden by JD Builder.
What am I missing?
I tried following the link you gave - it says your page is experiencing technical difficulties.

Hello Reuel,

I have been notified by a few other users about a similar issue with Protostar. Can you try using Astroid and the live preview will then work.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest version of JD Builder.

Thanks,
Chetan
