Hi,
I am using the Dallas template and was wondering how I can create a popup without using the "modal popup" in SP Page Builder.
I am creating a one page and therefore do not want a link to a new page for "terms & conditions" and "privacy policy". I would like a popup for both.
Right now I used a "modal popup" in the copyright row at the very bottom of the page. However the size of the button makes the copyright row bigger. I would like to keep it slim and was wondering if can somehow create a popup without using a button. Or if I can somehow erase the button so that just the word "privacy policy" is left.
The side is not published yet so I can't provide a link. But I attache some pictures.
Thanks for your help!!
Sam

p.s. if it is not possible to have a popup without a button, how can I align the copyright information with the text of the button?

Hi Sam,

Use the following extension to create a modal, would work much better.

extensions.joomla.org/extension/modals/

Since this will be a menu and not a button, you won't have the extra styling either.

Thanks,
Chetan

Hi Chetan,

I did chance back to a menu so I don't have the hight issue anymore. I didn't use modals either but just a link to a new article.
Since I have a onepage and the regular menu only links to sections (e.g. #contact_section) in that onepage, the regular menu doesn't work on the new article.
Do you have an Idea how I can fix that?

Thanks, Sam

Hi,
I solved the problem by adding the whole address plus the section link.
for example
before the link in the menu to Konakt was just: #kontakt
now it is: www.yoursiteurl.com/#kontakt

Cheers, Sam

So there is still a minor issue.

When I go to my website (t1p.de/th6t) and scroll all the way down and click vor example on Datenschutz, the link takes me to a new page. Since I changed the link in the Main Menu to the whole url it also takes me back to the main homepage. However it does add a section to the url that does not change anymore. No matter if I scroll or go to a different section by clicking a menu item.

Can I somehow always display the section I'm in at the moment in the url?
That way the section would be also included if someone bookmarks the page.
This page is a good example: adivo.vet/
I was also wondering if it is possible to remove the menu completely on certain pages.
If you click on Imprint or Privacy policy on the page above, there is no menu. Just the logo with the link back to the homepage.

Thanks, Sam

Sam,

In Joomla you can add tmpl=component to the end of any url to remove the additional content from the page.

Here is a good example: neu.biohof-schoepe.de.87-118-77-102.serv...chutz?tmpl=component

Hopefully, this helps!

Chetan

Hi Chetan,

that would work. Where do I need to add tmpl=component though?

In the menu options I selected as menu type "sp page builder -> page". If I link the page that way I can't adjust the acutal link.
So where do I need to add tmpl=component?

There is no way to just hide the menu on the "Datenschutz" and "Impressum" page?

Cheers Sam

Sam,

You can't do it in the menu.

you just have to add a custom link, however and wherever you are linking to "Datenschutz" page.

Make sense?

Chetan

Actually I'm not quite sure what you mean.

I can choose "url" instead of "page" in the menu option and add the link there. (see picture)
Then the url is quite long though (.../index.php/component/sppagebuilder/53-datenschutz)

Is there a way to remove the "component/sppagebuilder/" part from the url. So that it is just .../index.php/datenschutz ?
Also, is it possibe to remove the menu in some pages?

Or what do you mean with custom link?
Thanks, Sam
