Hi Idris,

Thank you for trying out our JD Builder. Replies in order:
1. Well you can use the code editor that we have in our WYSIWYG editor just switch to the code view, you can easily add & edit the code there, but sorry you cannot have your own editor here.
2. Why don't you try out JD Finder if you would like to search anything in your Joomla backend. Use Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F as its shortcut key, for more info do checkout the documentation: docs.joomdev.com/article/jd-finder/

Let us know if this helped!

Thanks,
Nishtha

Hi Nishta,

Thank You for your reply and my responses are as follows:
1. Noted - Will keep on using that but will that not be incorporated in any future updates? Just a thought...
2. I wanted to add a search option at the front-end for my website clients and not at the back-end - Can you assist?
Remember, it has to search through JD Builder pages.

Kind Regards,

Idris

Hi Idris,

Replies in order:

1. It's tricky to get JCE, TinyMCE or other editors inside the page builder but it's not something we are totally against. It just requires a lot of work on our end. However, we do want sometime in the future the users to be able to choose the editor of their choice, that'd include JCE, TinyMCE or others. Just like you do in the Joomla config.
2. No one has really asked for this and we haven't thought about this either. The Page builder is (assumed) really for creating complex layouts and if you (the user) wants a simple content only page, it can be done using Joomla article manager only. I however can see the use case here. We can limit the search to all the Rich Text (WYSIWYG editor) input's from the page and result whatever page appear. Let me discuss this internally and get back to you.

Thanks,
Chetan

Dear Chetan,

Thank You for your reply.

1. Any idea on how long this will take to implement?
2. That would be a nice idea and any feedback on the internal discussions?

Feel free to visit our website: www.scaa.sc of which I used the JD ServX template with JD Builder as the page builder.
Also, feel free to pass on your comments back for the website at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Dear Chetan,

Hope all is well on your side and great to see and have the latest update for JD Builder with "Now search JD Builder pages with Joomla's search and finder components" feature

However, I added a (built-in) Joomla Search module on my home-page and expected it to search through the JD Builder pages but no results came up - Only Joomla articles popped up instead.

Is there something else I need to do?

Kindly advise.
