Colin,

This looks more of a integrity of file issue based on the extension you must be trying to update. Can you try manually installing the extension by downloading a copy from the provider and see if that fixes the problem?

Thanks,
Chetan

Hi,

The site seems to be OK now, but Quix Pro and EasyBlog need updating. I have not budgeted to spend $208 a year for this. I could uninstall EasyBlog and find another solution, but it seems Quix Pro is essential to maintain the theme. Can you let me know the best solution.

Regards,
Colin.

Colin,

We are working on a solution for that too. Try keeping it as it for now and you don't have to immediately update right after a release. You could very well update all your websites once every few weeks and still be fine. This saves time and effort.

Thanks,
Chetan

Thanks Chetan,

So just to confirm, there will be no issues if I don't update Quix Pro?

Regards,
Colin.

Hi Colin,

No major issues, unless It has features you badly need or there is a security update. You can very well ignore the update.

Thanks,
Chetan

Hi Chetan,

Quix pro is essential to the look of the site?
Also, how would I ensure sites were always secure if I were to ignore extension updates?

Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,

Since the site is built in Quix Pro and if you want to keep those pages built in Quix Pro, You must continue using Quix.
I did said that if it's a security update you should consider it or else it can be ignored.

Thanks,
Chetan
