Set the code mirror option in Default code editor setting of your site from the backend.

After setting the code editor you can enter whatever icon you want. OR again put all code.

Hello,

The font Awesome icons work with <i> tag or <span> tag by a font Awesome class.
Only class are written in these tags, they do not have any text.
Because there is no text in them, the TinyMCE does not support them.

One more thing
Could you please provide the HTML code for "Some Boston core features" module here. (As I said before I had the same problem with several modules. You added the codes for some of them in the Documentation page, and I found some others in the forum. But I did not find the code for "Some Boston core features")
