Hi again!

In the configuration of the template you have several places where you can activate "hide [objekt] on XXX devices"

Is there any definition by joomdev, what size in px is linked to

1. extra small device --> from 0 x 0 px to ??? x ??? px
2. small device --> from ??? x ??? px to ??? x ??? px
3. medium device --> from ??? x ??? px to ??? x ??? px
4. large device --> from ??? x ??? px to ??? x ??? px
5. extra large device --> from ??? x ??? px to ??? x ??? px

Or are the size categories linked to types of devices itself ... so that a mobie phone would always be considered as an extra small device, a tablet would always be a small device, a laptop would be medium, desktop large and tv extra large for example?

Greetings

Thorsten

Hello,

1. extra small device --> less then 567px
2. small device --> 567px & Above
3. medium device --> 768px & Above
4. large device --> 992px & Above
5. extra-large device --> 1200px & above

the mobile phone would always be considered as an Extra Small device & Mobile Landscape View would always be a small Device.
Tablet would always be a Medium device & tablet Landscape View would always be a Large Device.
Laptop & Desktop Extra large Device

Thanks,
Lalit

Thank you very much.

Perhaps I should copy and paste all my questions and all your answers and make a kind of booklet or personal FAQ of it.

Back to topic:

So I see it s a kind of combination.

What is the priority in visibility? The px or kind of device?

In other words: What if I had a laptop with 566 px.

Would it then be considered as extra large (because of type of device) or extra small because of the resolution px?

Greetings

Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

A FAQ would be helpful and if you do write something up, please let us know and we'll be able to publish it under your name on our documentation site.

Please see the following link for more info: getbootstrap.com/docs/4.1/layout/overvie...sponsive-breakpoints

The priority is the screen width (in px). You can very well resize your computer browser and it will be assume mobile.

To answer your question, 566px would be considered mobile, doesn't matter where.

Thanks,
Chetan

EDIT:

By the way: Can I upload videos in this forum as "add file" ? If YES, I would have to get a free dowloadable screen-capture-program. That would make explainations much more easyer ...

You can use jing from techsmith that automatically uploads videos to their server and gives you a link to the video.

Just downloading and trying ... is there any official mail-adress by jommdev?

If I have success ... I woluld have to ask for re-opening some "solved" threads ... being able to add the videos.

Love,

Thorsten
