I'm experimenting with an art site and want to get creative using JDBuilder, images & particles.

Have a look here on this site. I want to layer an image over the particles. The image would be reverse or knockout with a black surround and the particles will only show through in shape of image. However the z-index of the particles is on top of the whole graphic. Can someone have a look, thanks!

Hello,

This is tricky.
See the screenshot & Video. www.screencast.com/t/YfY880Kta

How I do that.
1. Set Bird image as background
2. Then enable the Particles Background select Custom Option.
3. In Custom Particles Background I changed color as a black so it's should merge with background.

Thanks,
Chandan

@chandan

Thanks for having a look! I did try this earlier, but I don't want the white background behind the bird. That's why I asked specifically about the "z-index" and whether or not that would control the stack.

I'll post again here if I can render the effect I'm after.

Which background color do you need as a background?
