TOPIC: Image do not show "Card image cap"

Image do not show "Card image cap" 2 months 5 days ago #14556

It try to show 3 random featured articles on a position
If I add this to a JD_Seatle position the images do not show , but show a text "Card image cap" AND apear in 3 columns

Do I copy the module and show it on a protostar template position the picture show and appear in 3 rows
.

I assume this is a Asteroid thingy and nothing to do with the template. But how to fix it. Any suggestion.

Thank you very much. I send my details by email. MEANWHILE

I already got a little further.

I am not sure what is the difference between standard joomla and joomla+asteroid

1. You (demo) are using images from the second page of article [images and links]

I am embedded pictures in the content.

(I could modify all my articles to solve that problem)

2. Protostar and my modified template show the articles vertical

Asteroid shows them horizontal.

HOW TO SHOW THE ARTICLES VERTICAL?

If I could show the articles vertical I could manage.

Still the questions remain, why it does not show the image in content

Hello,

First, Thanks for the site login details. I have check. The images are missing in the article. That's why not showing on. So choose the image in Intro Image section.

Thanks and God bless you.

Yes, it is correct. I did not use the "Image and Link" to show the picture.

but:
Why it shows the intro content in protostar template abc.dsst.in/index.php/fr/
but not in the JD_Seatle template abc.dsst.in/index.php/en-us/

However I embedded the image in the Content.

Thanks Marc

Just tried the JD_Austin Template with Helix. That works fine
ALSO SEE THE ARTTICLES LISTED VERTICAL and NOT HORIZONTAL
But as Astroid will be replaced in Joomla 4. Not realy an option.

In the meanwhile I will change the images in the articles to the "Image and Ling" tab.

Good question.

Basically, You are using two template on same site JD Austin and JD Seattle.
In the JD Seattle template we have created the overrides of Articles - Newsflash module. If you see the fontend of the both template. Both are different. If you hover on image of JD Seattle template. You will see different layout from JD Austin template.

For the perfect view. You have put the image on Intro Field from the article and that is the good way to get the layout.

Let us know if you have any question for me.

Chandan,

I understand what you are say, even though I have no idea how it works under the motorhood.
Your answer confirms all i guessed.

That leaves me with 2 questions:

1. Can I change/overwrite the horizontal display of articles into Vertical
Work around: I can work it out by installing an other extension solving this problem

2. User / date display in module

You to loose user and date

Point 1 Solved
To change default to a vertical layout of article feature.
Module article feature > Advanced tab > Layout dropbox > Default/Vertical/Horizontal
