I installed the astroid QuickStart package and now I cannot rename the htaccess.txt to .htaccess

If I do, in the control panel, I cannot click on any link as if I do my browser downloads the index.html of the page.

I need to rename the htaccess file as I need to add the code:
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php71 .php

to make my site use php 7.1

Hello,

Astroid's htaccess.txt is similar to Joomla's default one.

If you are running on windows, windows explorer doesn't let you rename files without a name so instead name it .htaccess. and it'll automatically remove period at the end.

The php71 and other's would only work if your host supports this and has nothing to do with Astroid or Joomla.

Thanks,
Chetan

I have done this on the same host for years for many Joomla sites. there is something that is not working in the astroid quick smart.

in anyways, I will manually install Joomla and astroid template and I'm sure that will work.

Why don't you test and see if that works then I'll go ahead and investigate the quickstart to see if there is something wrong with it.
